Small images in landscape mobile view.

Why is it my text blocks are responsive to landscape views on a mobile device, but my images appear much smaller, and do not fill the width of the screen in landscape mobile view?

Conversely, all my text blocks conform to the maximum width I have set up at 2000px.

Did 7.0 handle responsiveness better than 7.1? It seems like it did.

I hope someone could help explain this. I was humming along with site layout until I tried viewing in mobile landscape.
