Commerce

A more seamless UPS shipping experience

You can now purchase UPS shipping labels to fulfill your orders directly from the order summary. Prior to this update, only USPS shipping labels were available for purchase. Please note, rates are automatically calculated based on distance, package size, weight, and the service you select.

Sell your products and manage your data with LitCommerce 

With the LitCommerce extension, you can list and sell products on the largest selling platforms (such as Amazon, eBay, and Google Shopping). You can also manage data from these channels in one place. To add LitCommerce or to browse all extensions, go to Settings, then All Extensions.

Squarespace Extensions are vetted third-party tools that help you manage, optimize, and expand your site.

Optimize your page speed and SEO with TinyIMG

The TinyIMG extension can help you optimize the speed of your pages and give your SEO efforts a boost through image size optimization and SEO metadata generation with AI. To add TinyIMG or to browse all extensions, go to Settings, then All Extensions.

Product editor updates 

The product visibility toggle has moved from the Visibility section of the product editor to the Organization section. Further, the Visibility section has been renamed to Selling Tools to better reflect the options in that section.

Websites 

Add photos and videos to the Asset Library from your iOS device 

The Asset Library is now compatible with the share feature on iOS. In other words, you can now share photos and videos from another app (like your Photos app) directly to your sites on the Squarespace app.

Your Asset Library is a hub for all of your site’s photos and videos. With this update, you can bulk upload media photos you took or are storing on your phone or tablet directly to your site, so you can add them to specific places on your site later. This works great for batches of product photos, gallery images, etc.

Grid layout for Courses 

To further personalize your course overview page, you can now display your courses in a grid layout. Prior to this update, Course pages could only be displayed in a list layout.

New social icons for Threads and X

We’ve added a new Threads social icon and updated the Twitter social icon to X. You can choose to use the old Twitter logo or the new X logo.

Project Management has been renamed to Invoicing 

Project Management within the Selling panel is now called Invoicing to better represent it. No functionality has been changed. 

We introduced invoices a few months ago so you can request payments directly from your site. This is a great option for those who sell services or customized products.

More filtering options in the Contacts panel 

We currently offer pre-built Smart Lists within the Contacts panel (Subscribers, Leads, Customers, First-Time Customers, etc.) to help you understand your customer segments. We’ve expanded the filtering options for all Smart Lists so that you can save your own filtered segments.

Would love to see a feature added that allows us to opt to require alt text to be included in order to add a new image during the development of our website, so that we never forget the alt text and we can increase accessibility for users using screen readers.  Thank you!

LitCommerce feature is great, but is it possible to manage inventory across two squarespace websites?

The idea is to duplicate our website so that each can be dedicated to different currencies. Without a multi currency feature, this is only solution I can think of. Or if there was a multi-currency feature at the checkout, this would be ideal for e-commerce.
