Lightbox background blur effect

Good morning!

I was wondering if there was a way to blur the background of a lightbox in addition to its opacity. I use the lightbox quite heavily in my gallery pages. I have tried looking and found nothing related to this so I am assuming its just not possible but I am coming here as a last attempt. My website is www.chrisg.photography.
