Anchor link help

Hello, I am trying to make a simple anchor link and I have tried multiple things and still no luck. I am trying to make a button (MENU) at the top of the page take me down to the MENU section on the home page. I have put a code block at the top of the section (<div id="menu"></div>) and in the button settings, linked it to #menu. That is the current set up and its not working. I have tried a few other codes in the block and also using /home#menu in the button settings. I have also opened an incognito window to try it out as I read sometimes it wont work when trying it in the editor. What am I missing?

Sorry, I didn't think that would be useful in this case since nothing is happening when you view the page or click the button. Maybe a video would be more useful, if so let me know.

That worked, thanks! I had it on so I could see it if I needed to change it. I had no idea it made a difference. Im new to all of this, thank you for your help.
