Loam
Hi, My students are confused because suddenly there is a box popping up on Acuity when they go to schedule a class that asks them to choose a timezone. I've explained that they just need to click one and then it will continue, but I'd rather turn this function off. Any ideas? Thank you! www.thespoolyard.ca Merikson, DST, Beyondspace and 2 others 5 Link to comment
dstoti
I am right there with you. This really makes no sense of in-person sessions, and I have found no way to turn it off. Squarespace, PLEASE. Use your common sense and create a toggle for this feature. We do not have "virtual" sessions and the time zone feature is very confusing to my clients. theyellowline.co dalvarez, DST, toripintar and 1 other 4 Link to comment

Propel
This is a very focused application of timezone, as it pertains to people not necessarily in your timezone — ie virtual clients/customers. When using Acuity for in-person events having a timezone option will only confuse clients and cause headaches for our customer service team, when someone inevitably changes the value without knowing, and shows up early/late for their appointment. Please allow removal of this drop down from the iframe with account settings. It actively makes the product worse. dalvarez, Beyondspace and Claude 3 Link to comment
Johnny89
Hi, please provide option to remove the timezone, it is starting to confuse my customers! When all my customers are in the UK why has this been made a madatory option?? dalvarez, Beyondspace, DST and 1 other 4 Link to comment
Merikson
@Loam I've requested this from support as well, they said they'd pass the feedback on to the Product Team. Quick question... how did you get the scheduling page to have tabs for Appointment/Info/Confirmation? dalvarez 1 Link to comment
dalvarez
Dear support team, Please know that this issue still persists and is severely impacting my conversion rate for my business. There is no upside to asking clients for their time zone in single-time-zone countries. At a minimum, it should be configurable. This should also be treated as workflow-breaking, as it was something that worked before. The same applies to having to reconfirm dates when an appointment type is preselected via the link and is configured to "Clients must sign up for all the times this is offered". These are two extra mandatory user actions that serve absolutely no purpose in this context, and they are right on the main sales funnel. Please also see my issue that I filed a few days ago. SSC1
I hate this timezone option! When my clients are trying to schedule, they do NOT UNDERSTAND that button, and I have to continually answer emails that they are not able to schedule the class--because they don't know to click it to continue---JUST FIX THIS PLEASE--this is horrible! eyenstein, DST and Claude 3 Link to comment
lewispowell
+1 to all of the above. An unnecessary quirk. You should be able to remove the drop down option. Please and thankyou 🙏 Claude 1 Link to comment
lewispowell
This drop down feature for timezones is great for clients who offer virtual services but for businesses that have customers in one timezone or in person it is confusing and bad UX. So please look into an option to remove the drop down here. Thank you 🙏 Link to comment
Damla
In case you aren't using any custom CSS, you can use the 'new scheduling experience' and remove this timezone selection. However, they told me that if we have any custom CSS, we are bound to have this section and also the drop-down selection for the slots on the calendar. It really sucks. ameaders
Just throwing in my vote to remove the time zone option as well. This makes it super confusing for clients when trying to book sessions in other cities!!! In the meantime, does anyone have custom CSS that they can share as a work around??? THANKS!!! DanceAndTumbling
Damla, I use Acuity with Squarespace. I am not sure if I have the 'new scheduling experience'. I have tried everything I can see to get rid of this timezone selection box! I have had multiple emails with support and they just say there is no way to do it. How can I remove the timezone selection? Thank you! Link to comment
blumestudio
I also have this problem on my site ! It is very confusing for the user and wish there was a way to remove it. Link to comment
Danielmonty
I have a solution! To hide the time zone selector, add this CSS under Customize Appearance > Advanced CSS: #timezone-container { display: none; } That will hide the time zone selector for those who need it such as bricks and mortar stores 🙂 Link to comment

DST
Agreed, I'm constantly getting people phoning up, confused about why the calendar is making them book in London. Claude 1 Link to comment
Roppo
/bump Please add an option to remove this, completely unnecessary for my client's use case. DanceAndTumbling 1 Link to comment
jennifermorgancreative
Another bump here. This is super confusing to my clients clients, as they are offering in-person classes but people may sign up from anywhere in the country. Please give us the option to remove this. Link to comment
Kjohnston
I think I figured it out. Go to Availability, global limits, and turn off clients can edit time zone. Link to comment
