Help with migrating from one domain (WP) to another (Squarespace)

Hi all,

We built a new SS website on a new domain — fountainkids.com

We did 301 redirect on GoDaddy for the old domain — jenfountaindds.com

we used Google’s change of address tool to inform them of the change.

but there are continued issues with the redirect. Some people get stuck and the redirect doesn’t happen.

also, the paths on the old domain (website on WP) don’t redirect. For example, jenfountaindds.com/contact doesn’t redirect to fountainkids.com/contact.

Could anyone please help? Thank you!

Hi – I'd be happy to do some troubleshooting on a call if that would be helpful. We would need to look at the new Squarespace dashboard, Google Search Console properties for both domains, and the DNS records or both domains. I'm sure you want to get on top of it quickly, ideally before Google re-indexes the site!
