Can I transfer a website from one account to a different account?

Yes. To do this: Invite the future site owner as a contributor to the site. Open the Permissions panel. Click the current site owner's name under Owner. Click Transfer Owner

Yes. To do this:

  1. Invite the future site owner as a contributor to the site.
  2. Open the Permissions panel.
  3. Click the current site owner's name under Owner.
  4. Click Transfer Ownership.
