derricksrandomviews
An unlinked page can be shared by using its URL like any other page. If your viewers are going to your homepage then something is not set right. Is the page enabled? Making your site private should not be necessary. This is an unlinked page in my site, and it is enabled or it would redirect to my about page. https://myrandomviews.com/lipizanners Link to comment
lisacd
Along these same lines, I can no longer find the URL slug for files I've uploaded. I used to be able to, but now there's a different format and clicking the settings on the file just takes me to the "edit link" pop up where I can choose the correct file, but not get any further information about the URL slug. Choosing to edit on the file name only lets me change the name of the uploaded file. I am trying to find this to link directly to a file from my email newsletter...any guidance would be appreciated! raego 1 Link to comment
lisacd
Unfortunately I can't even find where it exists on the internet right now! When I click on the "Feb24 Desktop Calendar" text in the Link1.jpg image (attached), accessed on the left side of my screen, it doesn't do anything. If I click on the settings gear, it just brings up the pop up shown in the Link2.jpg (attached), and the only thing I can do from there is change the name of the file. I assume I'm looking in the wrong spot, but I used to be able to access the file's URL slug from there. Link to comment
RGBNu
Hello - I'm seeing this as well. The "edit link" to a file dialog removed the raw URL from display. This makes the file upload feature nearly worthless on Squarespace. The only workaround I can see is to move your unlinked file into the navigation, then click on it, then copy the address bar URL to get the link to that exact file. However, that makes no sense. Nobody wants a bunch of PDFs or whatever in their navigation. And we don't want to always be required to use a Squarespace UI block to link to these files. I want to be able to share links to files hosted by Squarespace without these workflows. We are paying for this service and this has always worked. Taking this away simply crippled the file upload to an unusable state compared to the previous functionality. Please share with us the plans for file uploads going forward. Is it correct that we will no longer see a URL to the uploaded file being hosted by Squarespace? Link to comment
