Autoplay Images From Portfolio Categories

Hi there!, I have tried to find how to do this but I have not been able to.
I would like the images of each portfolio category to change automatically, when the mouse is not over them. What I want to do can be seen on this website www.alixelay.com (homepage). Also in this website (https://www.robinuthe.com/)

Also, when the background image changes, the category it belongs to is highlighted.

I think we can implement this action via some javascript code and the business plan is required. What is your current one?
