Custom code to adjust position of anchor link

Hello!

After enabling the anchor links in my homepage and their code blocks, I saw that the jump page goes where the code block is added. Even though I designed the space o be centered in the screen, it will push everything to the top. (please see images)

How can I add some space in the codeblock so it looks like in the second picture?

however, the "smooth scrolling" doesn't work for every section, do you know why that could be?

I've noticed this in the backend due to the way to way URL's get addended to the URL, but smooth scrolling has always worked on the live site. Is smooth scrolling not working on your live site?

no it's not working for every section, which is why I removed it as it wasn't consistent, but I will try again! thank you again!
