Automate adding email address submitted through Squarespace form, to a Squarespace mailing list

Hi - I'm trying to figure out how to take an email submitted through a form (not a newsletter), and have it automatically added to one of my Squarespace mailing lists. So when someone submits a form through my site, it automatically adds them to my mailing list. 

I can't seem to find an specific option for this within Squarespace settings - has anyone successfully accomplished this?

Are you familiar with any workaround using Zapier etc? 

It isn't possible to automate this currently because the Profiles API only has a GET method not a POST.  No external services can therefore add mailing list subscribers.
