Member area re-direct

Is there any way to have members not go direct to members area page, but to do so via the email that is sent.

Otherwise I have no way to validate if the email is valid, so anyone can signup and download free content.

At the moment it is instant, sign up boom right into the member area—what's the point in the email that prompts them to download?

That's correct. There isn't a way to prevent anyone from signing up for a Member Area and of course, if it is free, they won’t need to provide payment and can therefore remain anonymous.  

This is a limitation that I've been pointing out since Member Areas was launched in 2020. See item one on my Member Area Limitations list. 

What if I charge for it, but make it zero pounds? or dollars?

I’m not sure I understand. The only way to require some valid information is to require payment.
