I would like to create a circular outline on a single word via CSS on my site

I would like to create a circle around the text via CSS in squarespace. Is this possible? Please see this picture:

CSS doesn't have a facility to address words by index.

We'd need to see your site and the text in context to see what might be done. Usually the solutions are workarounds or require the help of JavaScript to make effects happen where SS didn't design them to happen.
