How do I add a directory of our members?

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I'm building a website for our business association.

We have 150 members from several countries.

I would like to use Members Area to enable our members to quickly find other members.

Ideally, this directory should include:

  • Member name
  • Company name
  • Town and country
  • Short bio
  • Email
  • Phone

It's not mandatory, but it would be great to also show a map with locations of our members.

What would be the best way to do this?

I'm willing to consider both free and paid solutions.

Many thanks in advance!

@Mr_Curious Don't know coding but a solution I know is to use Advanced Map plugin to create a map with multiple points for each member. Each member can have their own page using blog pages which will be linked with the map.

Then to add a search function, you can use the Universal Filter

I'm looking to create something like this as well. Just a simple way to search a collection of organisations by occupation / specialism and location. Like this...

https://www.shopify.com/partners/directory

Does anyone know of any plug-ins or platforms where you can create these? Not Community or using blog posts or sheet2table etc.

Am looking for something minimal and contemporary in the Squarespace style! It's impossible to find anything at the moment.

Thank you!

I need this solution, too. I was hoping for a Squarespace solution

@valia The Squarespace "solution" is more of a workaround, using a Blog post for each record in the "directory" and then using various features - tags, categories, summary blocks, and optionally third party plugins like Universal Filter (affiliate link) to offer extended filtering and/or sorting.

You may want to take a look at this similar thread, if you haven't already:
