How to change color of navigation bar on all pages except main?

Hi guys!

I'm wondering what the CSS is for changing the color of the navigation bar on all pages except the main one? 

My pages are kind of all screwed up in that some pages show the navigation bar in black, but the others just come up in white like:

I'm unable to find any pages with black headers. Can you point us to one?

If I've understood what you want you would use the SS editor to change the color of your header site-wide. Have you done this?

Then use CSS to change the homepage to the alternate color you want. What color do you want for the homepage?
