I'd like to make an image and text block align horizontally - how can i achieve this please?

Hello, I'd like to make these two elements on my home page align horizontally please 

I've trawled the forums and came up with the following code and tried to adapt it but it doesn't work 😞 , I think I my mistake is in my targeting of the section but I'm no expert!

Current code below:

Additionally, how do i figure out how to target that specific section so that I can apply this to other elements in future please?
