Adding links to a caption - links get split up across a word

So I'm setting up galleries for artwork that is being sold, and the caption for each piece includes a link to the artists work and a link to contact us about a purchase. And previously, I was able to go in and change the values on a link, either where it is linking to, or the type that functions as the link (say the price of the piece needs to change, for example) by clicking on the word and then clicking on the link button to the right.

This last week I'm trying to go in and change prices or links, and its like its taken each word that is set up as a link, and makes it a bunch of separate links that are all one or two characters, so I have to delete the whole word and start over making a new link.

Has anyone seen something like this? It's a small thing, but it's annoying.

Is there any way to check if or when this gets resolved? Thanks for your help!

You can contact Squarespace Customer Care or, as a Circle Member, you can check the weekly release notes.
