Specifying element ID's inserted with a code block

Hi all,

When inserting an element (a button in this case) into squarespace using HTML in a code block, should I give it a unique element ID? If so, are there any requirements/best practices for creating the unique ID?

The code block will receive it's own unique ID regardless if you've specified one yourself inside the HTML code. Unless you need to set an ID for your code to work, you should be able to use the one Squarespace sets for you to customize it.

This extension will give you unique id of the code block, so you can target your button without assign id to it
