changing the format of blog post date

Hi, I'm looking for the way to change how to show the date on blog post on 7.1 version. 

On Thumbnail page, there are automatically showing a full set of dates in US format, which is month/ date/ year.  

Then on the actual blog post, it only shows month/ date (e.g. Apr 5)

1) I would like to change the order into UK format (date / month / year) 

2) I would like to use the same format within the actual blog post

I have contacted helpline but they told me that this is fixed and not adjustable. Surely this is a basic requirement and 7.0 version used to be able to change. Could anyone able to help me in this? Thank you.

I have a related–but different–problem: I cannot get my blog post dates to be visible. It's like the color of the font is set to white, but I've tried every possible switch in design to no avail.

Did you use 7.1 template, try my solution

date format for your case is: 

"dd/mm/yyyy"
