Show Section Based on Day of the Week

I'm looking to have a section only show up on Sundays. I work at a church and there is a portion of the site that people use to check in on Sundays. I was curious if there was a way using Javascript to have it hidden on Monday-Saturday without having to do it manually?

If this content were in a blog post or blog summary block in  a section you can schedule the publication date in advance using a category filter,  On Monday, change the conten and give it a new pub date for the next Sunday.
