Maintaining shop images original ratio

Hi there,

My shop is going to sell a number of different sized prints. Some portrait format and some landscape. I need some custom css code to maintain the products original ratio when displayed in the shop. 
 

The problem I’m having is there is no universal ratio that accommodates both formats... The easiest solution would be to code it to ignore wrappers on shop page... hope this makes sense.

Can anyone help?

What is your site url, we can achieve this using custom code injection

I’m just setting up a new template and yet to assign to my url.
