How do I prepopulate the date field in checkout page custom form?

How do I prepopulate the date field in checkout page custom form?

Currently I could add a date field in my custom form in checkout page.  And immediately I realize how difficult it is for customer to manually enter DD/MM/YYYY 

I understand that Squarespace won't allow developers to add Javascript to prepopulate fields in checkout page.  But is there any other solution out there that can populate it to TODAY's date.  At least it alleviate the pain from the customer a little bit.

Sadly you can't.

As you've read, Squarespace doesn't allow any code to be added to the checkout, and there isn't another way to achieve this.
