CoFats
Site URL: https://www.cofats.com/episodes Hello, On my embedded YouTube video links, I'm getting a strange line or extra piece of content that are not in the original videos. It seems to go away when you play the video, but always there when you first get to the page: https://www.cofats.com/episodes I've also attached a screenshot here... Thank you! Link to comment
creedon
I can confirm what you are seeing on some of your videos. You can see the distortion on the 2nd and 3rd vid still images clearly. This is embedded code from YouTube so I went digging into the code generated by the embedded code. What I found is that YT produced an image < https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ajV_Vf8fRv8/sddefault.jpg > that has distortion on the right side. I'd first suggest trying to resolve the issue on the YT side of things. My guess is the standard definition version of the thumbnail image is getting distorted. What is apparently the hq version < https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ajV_Vf8fRv8/hqdefault.jpg > is apparently fine. The first thing you could try is just redo the thumbnail step and see if things are different. After that I'd be tempted to experiment. If the thumbnail is a still from the vid, choose a different frame of the vid. A frame or two ahead or back. If that doesn't do it find an alternate image if possible. I've had some previous experience with YT and how it distorts vids in ways that are undesirable. Understandable but not desirable for certain use cases. I'm not surprised that the same is happening with thumbnails. Find my contributions useful? Please like, upvote, mark my answer as the best ( solution ), and see my profile. Thanks for your support! CoFats
@creedon This is fantastic! I really appreciate the help and that makes a lot of sense, now. I'll go dig into the YT stills. Best, Jesse Link to comment
