adding a narrow strip of colour below the footer

Hi does anyone know how I can add a simple strip of colour below the footer of a 7.1 site?  I just want to add our companies colour for a bit of branding styling there, but I don't want to to have a wide strip like a normal section.  Is there a way to add a more narrow strip with css?  thanks!!

You should be able to add this to Custom CSS section. Just change the size and color to your preference.
