How to remove/disable the "Login" menu item

Update: no more than 5 minutes later I found the answer in another forum post. For anyone who is interested, the code below seemed to fix my problem: home>design> custom css

    font-size: 0 !important;
}

Thanks SO much for that! I was trying to find that info in the site header in the elements section, nothing there to disable it. This CSS code did the trick for me!

Well, that was different! I think that stuff was moved from where it "usually was".  It worked! Thanks for the tip! I would have never found it in the " + elements". I thought that that was for something else. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

The changes were released in January.

I agree that SS did not do the best on the usability improvements for these UI elements.

I have this problem too but don't have a Commerce tab. I'm starting out with the lowest plan that doesn't include selling. So how do I remove the Login:?

Based on how things work on Squarespace here in in November 2024, here's how you get rid of the "Sign In" button in your site's navigation:

1. Go to your Squarespace Dashboard

2. For the appropriate website, to the right, you'll see three dots - click them and select "Settings"

3. On the left hand side, select "Selling"

4. Select "Customer Accounts"

5. Unselect the button next to "Customer Accounts"

Once you do this, the "Sign In" button should no longer appear in your site's navigation.
