Website Speed Optimisation: Add Expires Headers

Hi Guys,

On doing a Website Speed test on a Squarespace site via https://tools.pingdom.com it's getting a severe warning for 'Add Expires Headers'

Is this anything we can add or customise via Squarespace? Or somthing they plan to address?

How do you know which CSS to remove, would that help with the loading speed ? I'm confused as to what expires headers are. I keep reading about it but it all seems so theoretical. Thanks 

I have the same question regarding "Reduce Expires Headers." The only way I see to add expires headers is to modify the .htaccess file which we do not have access to. This is a very simple website and the lowest grade by far is the Expires Header (according to tools.pingdom.com). My site earned a D, 67% for the "Expires Headers," otherwise an A.
