Change overlay opacity on just one page under an index (Pacific Template)

Hi Everyone:

I'm a newbie to Squarespace and coding. I have been trying to change the overlay opacity just for the very first banner on the home page of the site pawmatch.org, and I'm not even sure where I have to place the code. Can anybody help me?

add to Page Settings > Advanced > Header

<style>
  .index-image-overlay {
    background-color: rgba(115,115,115,0.7);
}
</style>

0.7 is opacity (0 to 1)

yes, if it doesn't work, try adding !important;

eg: rgba(115,115,115,0.5) !important;

It works, but only if I apply to the entire page...If I try to add only to the page that contains the banner at the top (the one I want to change) it doesn't change. Not sure if it's possible to change just for that top banner tho.

Hi, did you get this work? I get the same issue that it will work on the top level page but not the sub sections.

@tuanphan, what if we wanted to remove the overlay already present on a single image in an index?
