  1. Hi, My site is not live yet but I am working on the Pacific template and it was all working fine until today. However now my code to customise my nav is no longer working. What I had done is as follows. I moved the logo to the left. Used an index and the items in the index were the items on my nav. I then used code to hide the index content that I didnt want to show on the nav bar. Code is: .mobile-nav-toggle-label { display: none; } nav#mainNavigation>div:nth-child( ), nav#mainNavigation>div:nth-child(2), nav#mainNavigation>div:nth-child(2) { display: none !important; } /* Make logo -go-left- */ #header #logoWrapper, #header #siteTitleWrapper { position: relative; left: 15%; -webkit-transform: translate(-50%,0); -moz-transform: translate(-50%,0); -ms-transform: translate(-50%,0); -o-transform: translate(-50%,0); transform: translate(-50%,0); text-align: right !important; } What is happening now is that the items within the index are no longer showing, only the index itself and any other pages I add outside of the index. I tried to get around this by adding links to the pages within the index. This worked and the links showed up in the nav panel. The only issue is that there was a gap in the center where the logo was originally located. Thank you all in advance for any help. Tiarni
  2. Site URL: https://makethemawesome.com I was wondering if I could get some help with widening the area for text for blog posts in Pacific. It's something I just put up with for a while, but after a recent post I was like "Okay, I need to find a solution for this." Here's an example to help illustrate the idea: The way the images jut out for far away from the text is really annoying. Plus I have a tendency to add Gallery blocks at the end and those are way wider than the text as well. I'm guessing it would require some sort of header code injection but 1) I know barely anything about CSS to come up with a solution on my own, and 2) I'm not entirely sure what the default width for Gallery blocks. Anyone have any clues about this one?
  3. Site URL: https://manaproducts.com Hello, Heading 2 font letter spacing does NOT react while on top of an image in a banner an Index page but does work while in a regular page. I picked up someone's work so I'm kinda lost. 4. Site URL: https://healthcontentcollective.com/blog-entries/why-virtual-patient-communication-is-key I'm currently using altnernating background colors for my index pages. However, for each blog entry I'd like the background to be the secondary color (white), not the primary background color (dark green). Client does not have a premium account, so code injection isn't possible at the moment. Is there a workaround?
  5. Hello! I have a client who wants a one-pager for Phase I of his website, and a multi-page site for Phase II, which will be launched at a later date. The Phase I one-page website should have a sticky header and nav items that smooth-scroll down to the corresponding section below. I know the Pacific template is excellent for this with its stacked Index Page, but I am concerned that my client will not be able to 'build onto' the Pacific template once he's ready for Phase II (a multi-page site). Does anyone have any suggestions for how to make this transition as smooth as possible for my client? Thanks SO much in advance for your advice! 🙃 -Carly
  6. Hey, community. The size of my H1 header in my opening index page ("Schedule a Call") is perfect on desktop. But, it's much smaller than I want it to be on mobile and the Pacific Template doesn't offer a way to adjust styling specifically for mobile. Someone pointed me here to try and inject the recommended Custom CSS there but that code doesn't appear to work. Does anyone else have any other custom css suggestions I might try out?
  7. Site URL: https://www.thegingerlab.com/blog Hey everyone, Trying to change the background color of my blog page using custom code, but to no avail. I'm using the Horizon template of the Pacific family. Does anyone know how to do this? Any help much appreciated! Cheers!
  8. Site URL: https://smilodon-tuatara-58b9.squarespace.com/ https://smilodon-tuatara-58b9.squarespace.com/ pw: Amsterdam86! Would like to have some css to reduce page padding on top/bottom of each page, see image attached. site styles slider does not seem te be working. thanks!
  9. Site URL: https://pacific-demo.squarespace.com/ I'm having difficulty working with jump links. What I want to achieve is a navigation like the Pacific family templates. They allow for the use of jump links embedded in the navigation bar. I'm struggling to find a way to implement this functionality with a more customised fixed header layout. Specifically, I want to have a left aligned logo, and right aligned navigation/page links. I feel like this shouldn't be too difficult, but I can't find a work around. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Thanks
  10. Site URL: https://healthcontentcollective.com/ Hey y'all! I'm not a pro at coding, but needed to customize this website's heading to have the logo and navigation next to one another (not an option in the style settings for the Pacific theme). Only now there is a giant gap between 2 of the menu items. I am only using 1 navigation/menu. Below is all of the CSS lines I have. I've been messing around with each of the lines to see if I can fix it by trial and error, but have had no luck. Any insight or possible solutions are greatly appreciated! Thanks! #header #logoWrapper, #header #siteTitleWrapper { position: relative; left: 15%; right: 5%; -webkit-transform: translate(-50%,0); -moz-transform: translate(-50%,0); -ms-transform: translate(-50%,0); -o-transform: translate(-50%,0); transform: translate(-50%,0); text-align: right !important; } #header #mainNavWrapper .index { margin: 0 0 0 0px !important; text-align: left !important; } #header { position: fixed !important; } #header {background-color: #ffffff !important} header #logoWrapper { position: relative; left: 50%; padding-top: 0; padding-bottom: 0px; } header #mainNavWrapper { position: relative; padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; text-align: center; vertical-align: middle; padding-left: 310px; padding-right: 20px } .folder { margin-right: 0 !important; } .collection { margin-left: 25 !important; } @font-face { font-family: 'aquawax'; src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5cb63e9e01232c410328f7f1/t/5ccc82b43786be0001b9282f/1556906676894/aquawax.woff2/aquawax-Regular.woff2) format('woff2'), url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5cb63e9e01232c410328f7f1/t/5ccc82ae4e17b63c9fb58d0f/1556906671146/aquawax.woffRegular.woff) format('woff'); } h1{ font-family: 'aquawax' !important } h2{ font-family: 'aquawax' !important } h3{ font-family: 'aquawax' !important } #intro { background-color: #5aa1ac; }
  11. Site URL: http://lychee-wolverine-tdkg.squarespace.com Hi Squarespace community! I would like to have a custom title font for my blog posts in Pacific template without changing the Title 1 setting in the website's Design/Site Styles tab. I've chosen Adorn Garland for the H1 typeface, which I like for page H1 headers. However, on blog titles, it looks like trash. I'd like to use Raleway on my blog titles. Thanks in advance for any help! Cheers, Cindy
  12. I appreciate that the size of the button adjusts to the text, but from a design perspective, it looks bad. Is there a way to make the button size the same? I am using the Pacific template.
  13. Site URL: http://www.howhighlyorganized.com The Pacific template family automatically adds a “Back to the top” link in the footer on the mobile version. I added my own “Back to the top” link on the desktop version, and now it’s showing up twice on the mobile version. Can I delete the automatic mobile footer? Or can I add it to the desktop version?
  14. Hi all, I'm trying to have my navigation items stay on one page. Basically the same concept as the Horizon and Pacific template. I'm currently using Hunter as my template. Can this be achieved on that template? Thanks!

  19. Hi, I am building a site using the Pacific template. I have an ultra-simple footer that simply shows the standard one-line copyright info. When I view the site on mobile, the footer ... disappears. Anyone who knows a workaround? How to force its appearance? 🙂 Thanks! Mikkel

  22. Hey Everyone, I'm a noob to coding but have come across a problem that the people at squarespace say can only be fixed this way. Basically the logo is way to small on the mobile and tablet version of the site. Screen shots attached! The template is Pacific. I have the chrome 'block identifier' plug in. Does anyone one know if there's a way to make the logo bigger? Thanks, Hamish
