  1. Site URL: https://healthcontentcollective.com/blog-entries/why-virtual-patient-communication-is-key I'm currently using altnernating background colors for my index pages. However, for each blog entry I'd like the background to be the secondary color (white), not the primary background color (dark green). Client does not have a premium account, so code injection isn't possible at the moment. Is there a workaround?
  2. Site URL: https://healthcontentcollective.com/ Hey y'all! I'm not a pro at coding, but needed to customize this website's heading to have the logo and navigation next to one another (not an option in the style settings for the Pacific theme). Only now there is a giant gap between 2 of the menu items. I am only using 1 navigation/menu. Below is all of the CSS lines I have. I've been messing around with each of the lines to see if I can fix it by trial and error, but have had no luck. Any insight or possible solutions are greatly appreciated! Thanks! #header #logoWrapper, #header #siteTitleWrapper { position: relative; left: 15%; right: 5%; -webkit-transform: translate(-50%,0); -moz-transform: translate(-50%,0); -ms-transform: translate(-50%,0); -o-transform: translate(-50%,0); transform: translate(-50%,0); text-align: right !important; } #header #mainNavWrapper .index { margin: 0 0 0 0px !important; text-align: left !important; } #header { position: fixed !important; } #header {background-color: #ffffff !important} header #logoWrapper { position: relative; left: 50%; padding-top: 0; padding-bottom: 0px; } header #mainNavWrapper { position: relative; padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; text-align: center; vertical-align: middle; padding-left: 310px; padding-right: 20px } .folder { margin-right: 0 !important; } .collection { margin-left: 25 !important; } @font-face { font-family: 'aquawax'; src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5cb63e9e01232c410328f7f1/t/5ccc82b43786be0001b9282f/1556906676894/aquawax.woff2/aquawax-Regular.woff2) format('woff2'), url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5cb63e9e01232c410328f7f1/t/5ccc82ae4e17b63c9fb58d0f/1556906671146/aquawax.woffRegular.woff) format('woff'); } h1{ font-family: 'aquawax' !important } h2{ font-family: 'aquawax' !important } h3{ font-family: 'aquawax' !important } #intro { background-color: #5aa1ac; }
  3. Hey Everyone, Maybe you can help me figure this out. I'm working on this site: www.vancouver2017.com I've utilized a lot of code that I have found through this forum - and I'm super happy with how the site has turned out - so thank you! Keep posting your answers and questions because it's incredibly useful. Anyway... I have a question that I haven't found any answers for yet. On the Speakers page (http://vancouver2017.com/speakers/) about halfway down, I have a gallery of 20 photos of people who will be doing a PechaKucha-style talk at our conference. It was suggested to me that I create a lightbox of their Bio when clicking on the image. Is there a way to get this done within the gallery block? If not, if there's a way to set up individual image blocks with the same result, I would be open to suggestions there too. Can anyone help me out with this? Btw, I am using the Pacific Template.Cheers, and thank you!!Brendan

  9. Site URL: http://www.claytonbriggs.com Hi everyone! I am hoping to hide "home" from the navigation bar on all pages. It's the first page in an index. I'd move it to the "not linked" section, but there are other pages in the index (about, contact) that I do want listed. Is there a code that I can use to hide this? I use the Horizon template (Pacific family). Thank you in advance!
  10. Site URL: http://www.pentagon-orca-b5y5.squarespace.com Two navigation issues I'm running into using the Pacific template: 1. I am using a code to hide the first listing on my navigation bar but I'm running into an issue as it now seems that when I click on the header to go to that page, it's refreshing and loading twice before allowing me to stay on the page. Any way to solve this issue? 2. I am using a code for sticky navigation for the header and it's covering up my anchor links. Any fix for this?
  11. Site URL: http://lychee-wolverine-tdkg.squarespace.com Hi Squarespace community! I would like to have a custom title font for my blog posts in Pacific template without changing the Title 1 setting in the website's Design/Site Styles tab. I've chosen Adorn Garland for the H1 typeface, which I like for page H1 headers. However, on blog titles, it looks like trash. I'd like to use Raleway on my blog titles. Thanks in advance for any help! Cheers, Cindy
  12. Site URL: https://pacific-demo.squarespace.com/ I'm having difficulty working with jump links. What I want to achieve is a navigation like the Pacific family templates. They allow for the use of jump links embedded in the navigation bar. I'm struggling to find a way to implement this functionality with a more customised fixed header layout. Specifically, I want to have a left aligned logo, and right aligned navigation/page links. I feel like this shouldn't be too difficult, but I can't find a work around. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Thanks
  13. Site URL: https://adamfreunddesign.com/ I am looking to redesign my website (https://adamfreunddesign.com/). I have found this website, which I really like https://snp.agency/en the overall design and layout of. I would like recommendations for a template that would be a good starting point to achieve something like this website. Some features I am looking for include: 1) Left-aligned page title/logo and right aligned hamburger menu as options without custom changes to the template 2) Index pages, as is done on SNP and my website for a one-page site with different sections separated with different full-width background colors or images (Pacific, which I am currently using does this as well), where you can jump to a certain section. 3) I like that when the hamburger menu is opened, the navigation titles are right aligned. Being able to do this without custom work would be nice. 4) I like that the title/logo and the hamburger menu sticks to the top of the screen as you scroll down and that the color automatically changes to contract the background color. 5) I like that the section 6) The ability to add parallax scrolling without any special work would be nice. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any other info. Thanks!
  14. Hi, I need help on 2 subjects for my page: https://yujnayaamerika.com/ 1) It’s a Russian page but I have this Back to Top thing appearing on the mobile version. It’s Pacific Template. How can it be changed? 2) I want logo to appear along with the text like just like the 3rd photo which I previously had under Forte template but when the template changed to Pacific, the Custom Code no longer works. I would really appreciate if someone can help me. Thanks, Vural
  15. Hi, I am trying to change the background color behind the text on specific image block cards. I have tried to use several of the custom CSS recommendations from other questions but it doesn't seem to work. We want to keep the background color as-is (white) for the other pages, so the options in "Design > Site Styles" are too broad. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Site info: Our website is intowngolfclub.squarespace.com The template is Pacific Goal: The goal is to make the background behind the text the cream color of the site background so that it blends in and accomplishes the same look you currently see on the homepage here: https://intowngolfclub.squarespace.com/ I have set up a page to test with here: https://intowngolfclub.squarespace.com/home-elevator-pitch-full-1 What I have tried: I have tried several variations to override with custom css by targeting the yui and block id's but it doesn't seem to work. Examples: #block-399fb6d24d7525c1db35 { background-color: #F8F8F6; } #yui_3_17_2_1_1567173362664_2427 { background-color: #F8F8F6; } #block-399fb6d24d7525c1db35 { background-color: #F8F8F6; !important}
  16. Hi all, I've been trying to create a custom font for my navigation and have been trying this: .Header-nav .Home {font-family:'FONT NAME'} @font-face { font-family:'FONT NAME'; src: url('SOURCE');} It doesn't seem to work, does anyone know how to code for this?
  17. Hey, community. The size of my H1 header in my opening index page ("Schedule a Call") is perfect on desktop. But, it's much smaller than I want it to be on mobile and the Pacific Template doesn't offer a way to adjust styling specifically for mobile. Someone pointed me here to try and inject the recommended Custom CSS there but that code doesn't appear to work. Does anyone else have any other custom css suggestions I might try out?
  18. Hey, peoples. I have some custom css for button styling across my site, currently used in three places: My Squarespace Scheduling (Acuity) buttons Newsletter sign-up form submit buttons And, my cookie policy acceptance banner The font I want across all three (Sofia Pro) appears fine in Chrome but not in Safari. Weirdly, for #1 and #2 (in my list above), the font appears in Safari as a serif font, even though I have "sans serif" as a fallback font in the code, but does actually appear as a sans serif font in #3 (my cookie banner) in Safari. Anyway, at the end of the day, I'd just really love to get Sofia Pro to work on all of my buttons, across all browsers. Looking for some help to either fix my current custom code or to let me know if there's new custom code I need to add to get things looking the same in Safari (or elsewhere, too; I've only been testing across Chrome and Safari so far). Thanks!
  19. Site URL: https://www.pawmatch.org/ Hi Everyone: I'm a newbie to Squarespace and coding. I have been trying to change the overlay opacity just for the very first banner on the home page of the site pawmatch.org, and I'm not even sure where I have to place the code. Can anybody help me?
  20. Hi, I am building a site using the Pacific template. I have an ultra-simple footer that simply shows the standard one-line copyright info. When I view the site on mobile, the footer ... disappears. Anyone who knows a workaround? How to force its appearance? 🙂 Thanks! Mikkel
  21. HI I am trying to hide 3 index pages from my navigation in the Pacific template - currently they are just being used for full background images to break up the other sections. Website is not published but can be accessed at https://azalea-ladybug-xlb4.squarespace.com/ and password ZSG2020 I have chosen to expand the index links on the homepage as I would like to create a long homepage rather than have multiple separate pages. Any ideas? Thanks and happy new year!
  22. Hi all, I'm looking to make my logo bigger than what the site style tab would allow. It would only allow me to reach the max of 300px. Can any one help?
  23. I'm customizing a site (see here). One thing I've noticed is that the navigation bar, which retreats & then scrolls back into view on the homepage as you scroll down through the sections, doesn't replicate that behavior on other pages. For example, the blog page, or one of the other program description pages which has longer scrolling content. It looks like the class 'show' is being dynamically injected after the first page section on the homepage. 1. WHY? (more of a rhetorical question...) 2. How to copy over this scroll/hide/reveal behaviour to the other pages - not just home?
  24. Hey guys, i'm trying to get some text to sit at the top right of my page. Here's a link to the current site: https://cuboid-ellipsoid-gfdg.squarespace.com/ Pass: Ocean123! I need to get two lines of text to sit opposite the menu button on the left, I've attached a mock. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
