  1. Site URL: https://dawidbania.com/ Hello! I was wondering if it is possible to make my galleries load faster? Little background: I work as a photographer and I deliver between 400 and 600 photographs to my clients, sometimes with gifs included. The final size of the such galleries, despite using very effective compression methods, exceeds 50 megabytes. Sometimes it's over 80. I would really love to keep my galleries on Squarespace, but it's just getting really innefficient doing it this way. My question is: Is there any way, for example, to change the code so that only the content that should be visible is being loaded for the viewer (like infinite scrolling), and the rest of the content gets downloaded as the viewer scrolls down? Maybe it can decrease loading times and make the visit on the website smoother. Or any other method that could work? Here's an example of a troublesome gallery (especially on the phone): https://dawidbania.com/joanna-wojciech-weddingday I'd be extremely grateful for help within this matter. I don't know how to make it work.
  2. Site URL: https://www.thegingerlab.com/blog Hey everyone, Trying to change the background of my blog page to a fixed image using custom code, but to no avail. I'm using the Horizon template of the Pacific family. Does anyone know how to do this? Any help much appreciated! Cheers!
  3. Site URL: https://www.thegingerlab.com/blog Hey everyone, Trying to change the background color of my blog page using custom code, but to no avail. I'm using the Horizon template of the Pacific family. Does anyone know how to do this? Any help much appreciated! Cheers!
  4. Site URL: https://healthcontentcollective.com/blog-entries/why-virtual-patient-communication-is-key I'm currently using altnernating background colors for my index pages. However, for each blog entry I'd like the background to be the secondary color (white), not the primary background color (dark green). Client does not have a premium account, so code injection isn't possible at the moment. Is there a workaround?
  5. Site URL: https://www.pawmatch.org/ Hi Everyone: I'm a newbie to Squarespace and coding. I have been trying to change the overlay opacity just for the very first banner on the home page of the site pawmatch.org, and I'm not even sure where I have to place the code. Can anybody help me?
  6. Site URL: http://paolissima.com Hi I have to create a landing page using Pacific teme. I have to remove header and footer. I have this code, but it doesn't work: <style> #header, #footer, #preFooter { display: none; } </style> <style> .sqs-announcement-bar { display: none !important } </style> what kind of code I have to use? Thanks Paola
  7. Hey Everyone, Maybe you can help me figure this out. I'm working on this site: www.vancouver2017.com I've utilized a lot of code that I have found through this forum - and I'm super happy with how the site has turned out - so thank you! Keep posting your answers and questions because it's incredibly useful. Anyway... I have a question that I haven't found any answers for yet. On the Speakers page (http://vancouver2017.com/speakers/) about halfway down, I have a gallery of 20 photos of people who will be doing a PechaKucha-style talk at our conference. It was suggested to me that I create a lightbox of their Bio when clicking on the image. Is there a way to get this done within the gallery block? If not, if there's a way to set up individual image blocks with the same result, I would be open to suggestions there too. Can anyone help me out with this? Btw, I am using the Pacific Template.Cheers, and thank you!!Brendan
  8. Site URL: http://www.howhighlyorganized.com The Pacific template family automatically adds a “Back to the top” link in the footer on the mobile version. I added my own “Back to the top” link on the desktop version, and now it’s showing up twice on the mobile version. Can I delete the automatic mobile footer? Or can I add it to the desktop version?
  9. Hello all, a quick question. We're using the Lusaka template to create our site, and realized that the content we have would be better suited to a one page website, like the Pacific template-- https://pacific-demo.squarespace.com/. I know we can change from Lusaka to Pacific, but wondering if there's an easy way to change just the navigation in Lusaka. Thanks!
  10. I am using the Pacific template, and my navigation is goes in this order: Home | About | Services | Team | Contact | Your Visit | Vascular Access The first 5 links (Home through Contact) are all on a index page. Your Visit and Vascular Access are their own individual pages (Vascular Access is a folder actually). What I am trying to do is have Your Visit and Vascular Access show up after Team and before Contact in the navigation. I know I cant move those 2 links into the index to reorder them, so how do I do this? See screenshot below.
  11. Site URL: https://www.jasonmizephotography.com/ Hey Squarespace peeps, I have the pacific template and have a full page slideshow gallery for the top of my main index page. Over the past month or so, I must have mess with the CSS and the image title are now showing again. I have searched and searched for what CSS to use, but none seem to work. Any help would be appreciated to hide them!
  12. Site URL: http://lakerenfaire.com/ I am trying to find the right code to apply the "Index Scroll Nav: Show On Scroll" or "sticky navigation" to all pages on the site when scrolling down the page. This feature is available on the Pacific Template, but limited to and Index Page that has been set as the Homepage. Other Index Pages on the site or pages in general do not offer this option. How can this be achieved sitewide?
  13. I'm customizing a site (see here). One thing I've noticed is that the navigation bar, which retreats & then scrolls back into view on the homepage as you scroll down through the sections, doesn't replicate that behavior on other pages. For example, the blog page, or one of the other program description pages which has longer scrolling content. It looks like the class 'show' is being dynamically injected after the first page section on the homepage. 1. WHY? (more of a rhetorical question...) 2. How to copy over this scroll/hide/reveal behaviour to the other pages - not just home?
  14. Site URL: https://www.lsankowich.com/ Hello, I'm working on a site for my team's startup. Trying to create an affect where the banner image shrinks or collapses upon scroll, and the top navigation stays fixed. The site is currently hosted on a staging site, I'm not adept w/coding so any code snippets or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  15. Hey Everyone, I'm a noob to coding but have come across a problem that the people at squarespace say can only be fixed this way. Basically the logo is way to small on the mobile and tablet version of the site. Screen shots attached! The template is Pacific. I have the chrome 'block identifier' plug in. Does anyone one know if there's a way to make the logo bigger? Thanks, Hamish
  16. I appreciate that the size of the button adjusts to the text, but from a design perspective, it looks bad. Is there a way to make the button size the same? I am using the Pacific template.
  17. Site URL: https://healthcontentcollective.com/ Hey y'all! I'm not a pro at coding, but needed to customize this website's heading to have the logo and navigation next to one another (not an option in the style settings for the Pacific theme). Only now there is a giant gap between 2 of the menu items. I am only using 1 navigation/menu. Below is all of the CSS lines I have. I've been messing around with each of the lines to see if I can fix it by trial and error, but have had no luck. Any insight or possible solutions are greatly appreciated! Thanks! #header #logoWrapper, #header #siteTitleWrapper { position: relative; left: 15%; right: 5%; -webkit-transform: translate(-50%,0); -moz-transform: translate(-50%,0); -ms-transform: translate(-50%,0); -o-transform: translate(-50%,0); transform: translate(-50%,0); text-align: right !important; } #header #mainNavWrapper .index { margin: 0 0 0 0px !important; text-align: left !important; } #header { position: fixed !important; } #header {background-color: #ffffff !important} header #logoWrapper { position: relative; left: 50%; padding-top: 0; padding-bottom: 0px; } header #mainNavWrapper { position: relative; padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; text-align: center; vertical-align: middle; padding-left: 310px; padding-right: 20px } .folder { margin-right: 0 !important; } .collection { margin-left: 25 !important; } @font-face { font-family: 'aquawax'; src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5cb63e9e01232c410328f7f1/t/5ccc82b43786be0001b9282f/1556906676894/aquawax.woff2/aquawax-Regular.woff2) format('woff2'), url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5cb63e9e01232c410328f7f1/t/5ccc82ae4e17b63c9fb58d0f/1556906671146/aquawax.woffRegular.woff) format('woff'); } h1{ font-family: 'aquawax' !important } h2{ font-family: 'aquawax' !important } h3{ font-family: 'aquawax' !important } #intro { background-color: #5aa1ac; }

  19. Site URL: https://yujnayaamerika.com/ I'd like to type on the photos of homepage some promotional stuff but color changes and photo looks bad. I want the color remain same instead of switching to black. It'd also be nice if I could chose with which color I can type. Thanks.

  23. Site URL: http://www.claytonbriggs.com Hi everyone! I am hoping to hide "home" from the navigation bar on all pages. It's the first page in an index. I'd move it to the "not linked" section, but there are other pages in the index (about, contact) that I do want listed. Is there a code that I can use to hide this? I use the Horizon template (Pacific family). Thank you in advance!
  24. Site URL: http://www.pentagon-orca-b5y5.squarespace.com Two navigation issues I'm running into using the Pacific template: 1. I am using a code to hide the first listing on my navigation bar but I'm running into an issue as it now seems that when I click on the header to go to that page, it's refreshing and loading twice before allowing me to stay on the page. Any way to solve this issue? 2. I am using a code for sticky navigation for the header and it's covering up my anchor links. Any fix for this?
  25. Site URL: http://lychee-wolverine-tdkg.squarespace.com Hi Squarespace community! I would like to have a custom title font for my blog posts in Pacific template without changing the Title 1 setting in the website's Design/Site Styles tab. I've chosen Adorn Garland for the H1 typeface, which I like for page H1 headers. However, on blog titles, it looks like trash. I'd like to use Raleway on my blog titles. Thanks in advance for any help! Cheers, Cindy
