TRCA
How can I obfuscate our email addresses on the website so they don't get combed by bots? Sorry, new to this platform and haven't a clue how to do it. Edited January 10, 2020 by TRCA TreeTops 1 Link to comment
veganedge
I would also like to know if this is an option. I don't always want to use a contact form, and spelling it out (i.e. joe [at] example [dot] com) is just annoying for visitors. Link to comment
paul2009
In all honesty, it's pointless trying to obfuscate an email address; bots are intelligent. Contact forms are better than publishing email addresses (in any form) but if you do publish them, it's a good idea to invest in a good email service with optimal spam management/removal. creedon 1 About: SQSP User for 17 yrs. veganedge
I had an email address typed out with brackets on our FAQ, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service pages... maybe I'll just change it to a "contact us" link to the contact form. Thanks for feedback. Link to comment

This is absolutely untrue and misleading! Responses like this are just an excuse to gaslight customers and users for Squarespace not to build it in because it's a considerable amount of coding from scratch. But if they still have platform coders there are plenty of scripts that do this it can use. For instance, other content management systems (CMS) like Joomla builds this in as a basic baseline security function. Here is the output HTML source code after Joomla processes it: Here is an example of what you see on the screen: The above list is only representative of the conduct not permitted under these Terms and is not exhaustive.
