TRCA Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 How can I obfuscate our email addresses on the website so they don't get combed by bots? Sorry, new to this platform and haven't a clue how to do it.
veganedge Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 I would also like to know if this is an option. I don't always want to use a contact form, and spelling it out (i.e. joe [at] example [dot] com) is just annoying for visitors.
paul2009 Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 In all honesty, it's pointless trying to obfuscate an email address; bots are intelligent. Contact forms are better than publishing email addresses (in any form) but if you do publish them, it's a good idea to invest in a good email service with optimal spam management/removal. veganedge Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 I had an email address typed out with brackets on our FAQ, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service pages... maybe I'll just change it to a "contact us" link to the contact form. Thanks for feedback.
