I turn off express checkout and it still does not work!

When my customers press add to cart, it directs them straight to checkout. This would be okay if on the checkout page there is a “continue shopping” button. Or if there is a way for them to click add to cart, the number changes on their cart icon and stay on the product page that would be preferred. I’m not really tech savvy so please break down your explanation

I have a signup option for customers to enter their info to create an account. Even if they are already logged in, they are still forced to enter their info again to add anything to their cart. Then again when filling out their shipping info. I would like to be able to delete the one that pops up when they try to add something to their cart. I figured it out! It is within each product listing.
