@DV2 I'm so glad you mentioned that you've done dozens of sites and this is the first time you've seen that message. Me too! Thought I was losing my mind. Just waiting it out now...

Hello @paul2009 I am having the same issue as the members above with a site I am pushing live: karamercer.com - appears to be connected in SS through updating nameserver in go daddy. However receiving the error message: This website is pending domain owner verification. Do I sit and wait, or is there anything I need to update in DNS?

All the responses I've seen to this question suggest adding a CNAME verification record to the registrar's DNS settings, but here's what I don't understand:
Does "This website is pending domain owner verification" mean that the owner/end user has to take an action, or does it mean that the registrar and/or hosting company are updating records in the background, and no action is required by the owner/end user? As written, it's unclear - and I'd like to confirm if it means there's an email in someone's inbox that requires confirmation? The guidance for adding a CNAME verification record in the registrar's DNS only seems to apply when using the DNS Connect method. In my case, I used the Nameserver Connect method, which I'm told doesn't use the random string CNAME host record needed for CNAME verification. Is this correct?  The nameservers and A records are showing correctly on dns lookup but no CNAME records are showing up. Nothing unusual or notifications appear in the NetworkSolutions domain settings, which appear to have propagated correctly.
Lastly, is there anything to do besides wait out the clock and restart the process using DNS Connect?
Has anyone had better luck with one connection method over the other?
    Thanks!

Looks like I am hitting the exact same issue on January 2024...

This is happening on a site that was recently updated from 7.0 to 7.1
When I go to Styles and change button's background it is actually changing its text color.
I can also testify that this is happening on both new pages I create and the old ones that were previously at the 7.0 version.
I have another website account on squarespace that was 7.1 from the beginning and there there is no such glitch there... As the matter of fact, I am manually moving pages from that second side to the first one where buttons are glitchy, so I literally see the same exact design behaving differently on two sites.
I think Squarespace team should troubleshoot this one.
