All the responses I've seen to this question suggest adding a CNAME verification record to the registrar's DNS settings, but here's what I don't understand:
Does "This website is pending domain owner verification" mean that the owner/end user has to take an action, or does it mean that the registrar and/or hosting company are updating records in the background, and no action is required by the owner/end user? As written, it's unclear - and I'd like to confirm if it means there's an email in someone's inbox that requires confirmation?
The guidance for adding a CNAME verification record in the registrar's DNS only seems to apply when using the DNS Connect method. In my case, I used the Nameserver Connect method, which I'm told doesn't use the random string CNAME host record needed for CNAME verification. Is this correct?
The nameservers and A records are showing correctly on dns lookup but no CNAME records are showing up. Nothing unusual or notifications appear in the NetworkSolutions domain settings, which appear to have propagated correctly.
Lastly, is there anything to do besides wait out the clock and restart the process using DNS Connect?
Has anyone had better luck with one connection method over the other?
Thanks!
