Mary-Grace got a reaction from ShortAngryViking in Automatic URL Redirects like Shopify
Anyone who has played with Shopify and their URLs knows that they have a fabulous automatic tool for creating URL redirects when necessary!  Squarespace needs this feature.
One of the reasons to use a system like Squarespace is that the obvious things are automatically done for you, but URL redirects is not one of them.
It would function something like this - you go to change the URL of a page, and Squarespace would automatically pop up a message that says "would you like to create a redirect from the old URL to this new one?" and then the user says yes of course because they don't want to lose that powerful link, and voila the redirect is done for them!

@Mary-Grace yes, this is an ongoing issue. Please continue to screenshot and report these types of issues to Squarespace via email. They initially said it was an issue with Adobe fonts (like Futura PT), but this is also happening with other fonts as well. It's extremely inconsistent and frustrating. Sometimes you can try to pick a different font, save, then go back to Futura PT and save again and it clears the issue...but it's hit or miss.

Open the section settings (as shown in your screenshot) and then scroll down within the settings. Just below the Background Width settings in your screenshot, you should find the Overlay Opacity setting. Setting this to 0% should remove the overlay 🙂
