Mary-Grace
Anyone who has played with Shopify and their URLs knows that they have a fabulous automatic tool for creating URL redirects when necessary! Squarespace needs this feature. One of the reasons to use a system like Squarespace is that the obvious things are automatically done for you, but URL redirects is not one of them. It would function something like this - you go to change the URL of a page, and Squarespace would automatically pop up a message that says "would you like to create a redirect from the old URL to this new one?" and then the user says yes of course because they don't want to lose that powerful link, and voila the redirect is done for them! ShortAngryViking
301 and 302 redirects are something worth looking at. I used them...but after the latest update I have not needed to as our clients migrated their sites away from SS. Beyondspace 1 Link to comment
c2HR
It's a no brainer basic 101 functionality. Are we supposed to manually so this ourselves? Or remember to go to a different section to update manually this every time a URL is changed? That's what computers are for. Automation. Beyondspace 1 Link to comment
