Codepen to Squarespace page

The code appears to work on Codepen, but when I try to copy over to Squarespace, it doesn't work. I've tried putting everything into one block, with the CSS within <style> at the beginning, and the JS within <script> at the end. Do I need to format something differently, or am I running into a file-size limit?
