Peak: Video on template homepage

I would like to use the Peak template -- http://www.squarespace.com/templates/?q=peak. Is it possible to embed video into the center/main block image space?

You can not. I just tried dragging a video in and it said "Only Images Allowed" as a popup error.

Crazy idea, but maybe you can embed one via CSS as a background-image property somehow? Probably not...

There is a workaround. You can set the default banner off:

.default-background { display:none !important; }

And then add/embed a video as the top block in each page. Depending on how many pages you add, this will obviously get laborious, though.

Alternatively, you can set it in the sidebar and it will automatically appear in every page, as the slideshow does at the top of the site I'm building: POLLP
