Shop Local Business Directory

Hello,

I am wanting to create a business directory site for our community. There are approximately 200 businesses to list. I have seen posts that people have built directories using blog posts and the universal filter plugin. Just wondering if there are any website examples that people could show me or tutorials on how to get started. I have built one site with SquareSpace so have some knowledge, but not much with filters, plugins etc. I would like the site to be searchable / filterable by business type (ie. accommodation, food and beverage). Each business will then have its own page that can have photos, a write up about their business, contact info, link to their website etc. Any advice on the best way to proceed with this project would be greatly appreciated!
