Cursor change to indicate link when hovering over image

Recommended Posts

Hi. I'm looking to indicate to people visiting our website that some images are clickable. I've added urls but there's no option to add anything to indicate that the link exists, like an overlay when you hover over an image or title. I'd love to have the cursor change to indicate if something is a link and can be clicked. Just like most cursors change to indicate when a field is typable.

Has anyone added code like this before?

Thanks for any help!

Hi hwa630,

What's the url to your website? Let's take a look

I'm working within a template that's not live yet.

I think I have to insert custom code, but I'm not an expert. I know how to insert it and generally how it works but not the specific elements to use.

I think I've decided having the images with links getting an overlay or zoom in when you hover would be best. But wondering if you code for images, does that include images in galleries? And how to filter for just images with urls linked and exclude the rest. Or is that awkward ux design?

Thanks so much!

Image with link will have a different ID, and image in Image Block - image in Gallery have a different ID, so if you share link to page where you use image, we can check & give you code
