Need help with connecting domain to Google Site

Since the forced migration of my Google Domain Registration to SquareSpace (yet another online service provider that provides no path for talking to customers), when people type our domain name preceded by www.  they are taken to our linked Google Site.  That's what would would like to happen. That's fine.  However, if someone types only our domain name without the www., they are taken to a SquareSpace page that says that we are under construction.  That's what we would like not to happen.  We would appreciate some help and guidance on how to fix the problem. Thanks.

Moving to Squarespace can definitely be a bit of an adjustment. I'd make sure that your domain's DNS settings match the requirements in Squarespace's guide for connecting to Google Sites:

In this case, make sure the A record has been added since this relates to your root domain:

Type: A
Host: @
Data: 198.185.159.144

Squarespace support can always troubleshoot the domain with you, too! Their live chat hours have been kind of spotty lately, but you can submit an email ticket to them all the time:
