MailerLite, how to send form data (February 2024)

How do I set up SquareSpace to send form data to MailerLite (new version)? All I want to do is collect emails from a SquareSpace form and have the data automatically added to my MailerLite list. 

When researching this I don't find any help, including on this SquareSpace forum. I do see mention that the SquareSpace/MailerLite integration is not native "yet" though it used to work with the older version of MailLite.

Is Zapier the only way for now? I've never used Zapier before. 

I'm a Circle member, but not an experienced developer or coder. I am good at following directions.
