How can I remove top padding from text blocks?

How can I remove the top padding that automatically comes with text blocks? I'm unable to align a text and image block because of the top padding on the text block. Please see the blue align above the attached text. How do I make the blue line flush with the purple?  Thank you for any help!

Really hard to tell what's going on there from just that screenshot, can you share your website URL and the location of this block? Are you using any Custom CSS on the site?

These blocks are being targeted in Custom CSS to add a 40px margin to the top and bottom:
