Repeating invoices

I want to start a renting company for a product only newborn parents will need. Since i am a very small business it has to be very low cost.
Is it possible to send invoices every month to them without them actively needing to click on anything again? And can they somehow in their profile 'end the renting term' so i can send them the return ticket of the package company.
I do not want to use the recurring subscription option, since it cost so much more, we can simply not afford that and it would be the only option i would use from the advanced commerce plan.
If i really have to use that is it even possible with squarespace to delay delivery according to a set date the costumer fills in (the due date) and then starts the renting term? And only ask the shipping cost once?

I would also be interested in this. If I could setup recurring Invoices I would move from Zoho Invoice to use Squarespace Invoice. The only workaround online I've seen is to sell a subscription via a Squarespace store that monthly charges the customer which is more convoluted than what I would like to do. I just simply want an invoice option that lets it automatically send an invoice the 1st of every month or whatever custom date.
