haleysive
HI there Squarespace World- I have been working on a website that has multiple slideshow galleries displayed on each page. I want each gallery to fill the same exact amount of space so that the whole page looks aligned/ even. I am laying out the gallery blocks on "blank sections" with customer grids in Squarespace 7.1. I defined the frame for each gallery to be the same, then I added content and selected (TRUE), "Automatically Crop Images". These are all Slideshow Gallery Blocks. For some reason, the images still aren't filling the frame in some of the gallery slideshows. This happens so matter which sequence the images are in. The text block beneath responds properly and stays aligned where I designed it. Just images don't fill the frame! Thanks for taking a look for me! Would love your throughts. Link to comment

Automatically crop doesn't set the images to fill the frame, it just means that the images all have the same crop. The Gallery Block was designed prior to the Fluid Engine editor, so this was designed to keep the images the same size and prevent layout-shift, but it hasn't been updated with the option to fill a block. Your best bet is to crop all of your image to the same ratio on each of the slideshows. Belizabeth and haleysive 2 Please like and upvote if my comments were helpful to you. Cheers! haleysive
Thanks - this is helpful! Bummer that the image galleries haven't been updated for fluid engine yet, but makes sense. I'll work on cropping the photos. Ziggy 1 Link to comment

The gallery block in Fluid Engine is only available for Circle members, in my opinion, it's not likely to get an update for FE as it was supposed to be phased out, but it's simply too useful for designers still. gingershermanllc
@Ziggy Thanks for replying, they're already set to auto crop Link to comment
Ziggy
Okay, I see what you mean. I think this is a limitation with the gallery block on Fluid Engine, it hasn't really been updated since to work correctly with Fluid Engine, hence why it's only available to Circle members, so that's probably the problem. gingershermanllc
@Ziggy Okay thank you. So there isn't a way to use CSS to adjust it? Link to comment
Ziggy
No, I don't think there's a way to fill the fluid engine block dimensions. gingershermanllc 1 Please like and upvote if my comments were helpful to you.
