Uploading video

Hi there,

I'm just trying to upload a video to my site using a Vimeo link but it keeps telling me "Unable to retrieve video..."  I've retried and triple checked the link and don't understand why it won't work...

Can anyone help please?

I would guess that the video is not set to public, but if you can share the video link and your website URL I might be able to give you some more insights.

The video has restrictions on where it can be embedded, you can change these on Vimeo and allow specific websites to be able to embed it.

This is what I see when using the embed code, the video link is as you described.

Thanks so much for this.  I don't think I can change the Vimeo settings myself so I've contacted the person who made and uploaded the film to ask if she can do it.  Fingers crossed!

Yes, that can be a problem if it's not your video, but understandably gives the creator more control over how their work is used. Good luck!
