ampersand on mobile view too big

So i've got a markdown block because i use custom fonts.
on desktop everything seems to work and is in the right font size. However on mobile view the ampersand is way too big in relation to the other words. I'll provide the images so you can see the difference. I've been breaking my head for way too long on how to resolve this. If anyone knows what's wrong with it?
