Add video to 7.1 slideshow reel along with the images?

This question has been posted before and it seems like Squarespace hasn't resolved this yet? After years?

It's absolutely crazy to me that you can't upload static images and mp4 on the same slideshow/gallery block.

Did anyone find a workaround to this? 

Have you tried adding it to Gallery Block Carousel yet?

Try Classic Gallery block on 7.1

Checking back here on this as well. Im hitting a wall trying to figure out how to get photos and videos to click though and play in the same page such as my old site: https://www.nathanperkel.com/ (need to scroll down a few to see gifs) 

The new site im building to replicate is proving difficult to mix photos and videos in the same gallery. Any help out there?

Also you can use gallery blocks if you like
