Cognito forms embed code for website messes up my footer

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am currently having an issue embedding the Cognito Forms code in my website.

It has previously worked without any issues but since this morning, whenever I embed the code it messes up my footer.

The code is the following: <iframe src="https://www.cognitoforms.com/f/dz4wArdL_kSYgjdPVAiDlw/111" style="border:0;width:100%;" height="1124"></iframe>
<script src="https://www.cognitoforms.com/f/iframe.js"></script>

I've tried making adjustments to the footer, but in the backend of the website, it disappears whenever I embed the code, so I cannot even do that.

Alternatively, on the frontend of the website, the code seems to force changes in the footer by making it adjust to the form width and leaving space at the bottom of the site, making it look very ugly.

This problem is only evident on webpages with Cognito forms embedded.

Can anyone help with this at all?

Can you share your website URL? Is there a page where you have the form embedded on that can demonstrate the problem? Thanks!

Have you tried removing the embed code and checking if it still gets this issue?

Yes, I've tried that and Cognito forms seems to be the issue... unfortunately, I need to embed this form. I don't have another form provider I can use...

So, I was hoping that there was something code-wise that could be done, persuade the page to show the correct format. The problem is that I don't have this knowledge or expertise myself...

Any thoughts?

I too have an issue with embedding an opt-in form for a newsletter sign up from the email provider MailerLite.

It adds extra space below the form, forcing me to not add any text blocks or social icon blocks below it because it will look odd with extra space.

The best I can do is just end the page there but with a little extra spacing than I'd like.

Example on this page: https://www.bradysnow.com/

It is definitely the code as I don't have this issue when I remove it.

Does anyone know if I can remove this space manually somehow but altering the code or by some other means?

My consensus is that basically I should just not embed third party code on squarespace.   This is the second provider I've used and it doesn't seem to work well.  The other one from GetResponse made the page load time absolutely awful.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brady
