Changing the Site Header background colour when hovering on it.

My intention is to make the background colour of the site header to turn white when hovering with my mouse over it. However, when not hovering with the mouse over the site header the background of the site header should be like it is in the screenshot with the image. If someone could please help me with a CCS, Plug in, it would be awesome!

Try adding this to Design > Custom CSS. If it doesn't work, please share link to your site, we can check easier
