How would I go about hiding the price of a variation of a product when it is sold out (the variation, not the original product)

I am trying to hide the price of a variation of a product once it is sold out, just the variation, can't quite figure it out.

You can try adding to Home > Design > Custom Css

.ProductItem.sold-out .variant-option {
  display: none;
}

Unfortunately it stills show up when I select the option on the product page.
