Action button on home page not functioning

I have just changed the template for my website, but the action button, despite directing the user to my home page, it just comes up with a blank screen.

I keep changing the layout and changing the landing page, but it doesn't change anything.

 

I have had to take off the action button until I resolve it.

Any comments would be much appreciated.
